Madeline with 2 variations has a bias cut skirt & buttons in the front.  The short dress has a high curved yoke & short puffed sleeves that are finished with contrasting piping & a bias sleeve band.  The contrasting fabric is also used as a self ruffle around the Peter Pan collar & bottom of dress.  The other view is sleeveless.  It also has a self ruffle around the collar & skirt bottom.  The armholes are finished with a bias strip.  Pattern includes matching panties

Mattie
Mattie is a pull-over top designed to be made out of knit.  It has both long & short sleeves finished with a lettuce-edge ruffle.  The shirt back has a short opening finished with a modified continuous bound placket & 2 buttons.  The neck edge is finished with a bias band & lettuce-edge ruffle that substitutes for a collar.  If desired, ruffles may be omitted.  If ruffle is not used at sleeve edge, cut sleeves 1" longer & use a 1/2" hem allowance.

Mia
Mia is a little girl's dress with a slightly curved yoke, a slightly gathered skirt, and it features a rickrack trimmed ruffle at skirt bottom. Included is optional yoke ruffle. Mia has an "easier-to-make" back placket with a two-button back yoke. The front yoke has a center front box pleat embellished with two sequin pearl buttons. Little butterfly sleeves are edged with rickrack.

Millie is a coat dress that comes to just the bottom of the knees for View A.  View A's a-lined skirt is attached to a lined yoke with a wrap-around front facing. It is shown in a printed corduroy with velveteen collar and ruffles.  View B flares out much more at the sides and is attached to a lined yoke with a wrap-around front facing.  View A and B can can be cut at dress length or at a top length and worn with the enclosed pants.  Pointed or round collar with ruffle.  Buttons down front and pants have elastic waist.

Sara's Skort
Sara's Skort is a pattern for a skirt with attached shorts.  The skirt is lined & the shorts are unlined.  Skort front is fitted, while the back waist has a casing with elastic.  Front & back skirt sections are cut on the fold.  Both the fabric requirement chart & the instructions refer to the outside as the skirt and the under part as the shorts.  It is called a skort when these two sections are stitched together.  Blouse is from #245 Lettie.  Top is from #85 Libby yoke.  See back of pattern for more information.
