Both dresses off completely different bodice
styles, but share same skirt pattern providing multiple style options.
A capped-sleeve option is available for the Mary dress. Cutting lines
for the dress & casual top versions are provided for both. The skirt
offers three hemline options, a level hem that is parallel to the floor, a
shaped hem that dips slightly lower in the back and a short hem for tops.

Mary & Morgan Misses
The original "Graduation Dress" as shown on the
cover features an unusually shaped, embroidered front skirt panel set in to
a lace-shaped opening. To streamline the design for easier
construction & to create additional design options, we redrafted the center
front panel with straight seams. A similar lace-shaping template from
the original dress is provided to recreate the dress if desired.
Note however that the instructions provided in this pattern
do not reflect the specific embellishments of the original dress. A
modified version (cotillion dress) of "Mary's Graduation Dress" is proved in
this pattern with a multi paneled, flat-front skirt.

This pattern is designed for heirloom sewing
techniques using lace shaping, entredeux & gathered lace. The skirt
can be embellished in many ways & allows for a 4" hem for times when lace is
not desired. The bodice & sleeves may be embroidered or remain plain
with n the lace shaping. The sleeves may be embellished as shown with
2 rows of lace or just one, as desired. Use your imagination to create
