pattern. It is designed to be made of heavier weight fabrics such as

elastic waist cropped pants that can be worn open legged, cinched or cut to
make shorts. Pattern piecing allows for mix and match fabrics and trims.

Girl's Wrap Dress or Top
The two basic pieces in this pattern can be worn
independently or as a set. Make several to mix and match. The
armhole for a sleeveless style can be finished with a bias binding, facing
or lining, or an option is included for a flange-style, capped sleeve.
The sleeves can be applied to the wrap or slip dress/top. The pattern
includes dress- or top-length options. The slip dress/top bodice was
drafted with two neckline options, a V-neck concealed by design under the
wrapped bodice and a round neck, designed so that the coordinate or contrast
slop fabric peeks from under the wrapped bodice.

Mary & Morgan Young Miss
Both dresses offer completely different bodice
styles, but share same skirt pattern providing multiple style options.
A capped-sleeve option is available for the Mary dress. Cutting lines
for the dress & casual top versions are provided for both. The skirt
offers three hemline options, a level hem that is parallel to the floor, a
shaped hem that dips slightly lower in the back and a short hem for tops.

Mary & Morgan Misses
The original "Graduation Dress" as shown on the
cover features an unusually shaped, embroidered front skirt panel set in to
a lace-shaped opening. To streamline the design for easier
construction & to create additional design options, we redrafted the center
front panel with straight seams. A similar lace-shaping template from
the original dress is provided to recreate the dress if desired.
Note however that the instructions provided in this pattern
do not reflect the specific embellishments of the original dress. A
modified version (cotillion dress) of "Mary's Graduation Dress" is proved in
this pattern with a multi paneled, flat-front skirt.

Tailoring of the 1960's returns to modern-day

This pattern is designed for heirloom sewing
techniques using lace shaping, entredeux & gathered lace. The skirt
can be embellished in many ways & allows for a 4" hem for times when lace is
not desired. The bodice & sleeves may be embroidered or remain plain
with n the lace shaping. The sleeves may be embellished as shown with
2 rows of lace or just one, as desired. Use your imagination to create

Turnabout Jacket
by Indygo Junction This jacket designed for children ages one to ten
years allows for years of wear with turned up dolman sleeves to let down
over time. Its loose, asymmetric style easily adjusts to the growing child.
The pattern style allows for infinite variations. Construct in the upper hip
length or by adding the lower bands to extend the jacket to just below the
hip. For an unlined jacket, use any two-sided fabric such as polar fleece,
linen, batiks, etc. and finish its edges with fabric binding or serger. Or
line a jacket and have two looks in one by creating a fully reversible
garment. Finish the sleeves with enclosed seams or bind the edges with a
contrasting fabric. A variety of closure options include one or two buttons,
a fabric tie, or buttoned tabs. Extras include a funky oversized pocket to

raw edged fabric embellishment add dimensional interest. Leave a raw edge to
your seams or finish with a complimentary serger thread. Easy to construct,
it requires no hemming – just serge the lower edge if desired. If you don’t
have a serger, turn up a narrow hem and stitch or use your zigzag stitch.

Carter's Christening Gown

entredeux, and Swiss embroideries are combined with machine embroidery
motifs to create this magnificent treasure. This 48" long tailored gown is
suitable for either boys or girls. Its round-neck bodice has an embroidered
V-shaped center bordered by entredeux-edged Swiss embroidery and a Swiss
edging ruffle with an embroidered edge. The center front panel is bordered
by lace insertion that angles slightly from the lower hem edge to bodice
forming an inverted V shape. It has a backwards apron overlay with two
rectangular pieces revealing one of the vintage embroideries peeking through
from the skirt’s center. The two mirror imaged apron pieces are created by
alternated embroidered squares and pinstitched lace insertion. The lower
section of the center panel has alternating rows of lace insertion, Swiss
edging and batiste; the remainder of the skirt is finished with a hem of
three 5/8" tucks above lace insertion and Swiss edging. Included on
