Serengeti Quilt

“Serengeti” is our 2nd quilt from the fabulous book Color Shuffle by Karla
Alexander of Saginaw Street Quilt Company for Intermediate Beginners. Use the
Color Shuffle approach of creating “decks” of fabric, cutting the deck,
shuffling the order of the pieces and sewing together the blocks, but this
time we will add a wavy cut and learn how easy it is to sew these unlike
halves together. The Serengeti quilt in the book uses the beautiful soft beige
and brown colors of the Serengeti along with the soft undulations of the
terrain. You can make the 62 ½” X 87 ½” quilt as shown on page 71 of the book
or make a smaller version 51” x 51” as shown in the shop. For my version I
chose bright yellow and reds and think it will be the perfect quilt for summer
or for the bleak days of January and February to chase away the blahs.
