Summer Serenade: A Symphony of Stitches
presented by Laura Jenkins Thompson

Enjoy summer all year long where days are lazy serenaded by flowers in bloom.  Laura Jenkins Thompson has created a design symphony for you to enjoy stitching featuring embroidery.  Her classic design features your initials framed with summer wild flowers.  She has also incorporated each of the required stitches for the SAGA artisan program apprentice in embroidery: the backstitch, blanket/open buttonhole stitch, bullion, chain stitch, fly stitch, French knot, granito, lazy daisy, satin stitch, single feather stitch, stem/outline stitch, and shadow embroidery.  As the designer of the sampler for the Embroidery Level I, Laura will share with you techniques and tips to form each.  In addition, she will also teach you secrets that she learned in Paris to create your monogram with the techniques found only in antique linens.  Your kit will not only include everything needed to stitch the embroidery sampler, but also a full-sized 8” x 4 ½” x 5” (12” with handles) basket/purse that may also be used as a sewing basket.
This special class at Elegantly Stitched is one you certainly will not want to miss!

Cactus Punch has created 3 machine embroidery discs featuring her heirloom designs in their Signature Series.
