Three triangles of fine Swiss fabric, embellished with beautiful Lace and hand Embroidery form the Brim on this wonderful Bonnet. You will learn how to miter lace insertion and attach it to fabric, discovering the different hand and machine methods used to finish the fabric behind the lace. Entredeux will finish the neck of the bonnet and lace edging will be gently and evenly gathered and whipped to lace and fabric. Jeannie Downs Baumeister is a designer, needle arts teacher and the author of the book, Jeannie B's Book of Heirloom Embroidery Designs & Stitches. Her popular pattern line "The Old Fashioned Baby" is sold worldwide. Jeannie's patterns reflect her interest in vintage infant's and children's clothing, as do her classes, many of which include techniques and embellishments used from the late 1800's to the 1920's. Jeannie is the author of the former Creative Needle column, "the Old Fashioned Baby" and is frequently featured in Sew Beautiful and Creative Needle magazines. Jeannie's teaching assignments include Australian workshops, needlework guilds, Threads of Love conventions, shops, SAGA, and the Martha Pullen School of Huntsville.
