Madeira Linens
With a Twist!
presented by Connie Palmer
"Madeira" is
synonymous with "elegance and style". Traditional heirloom Madeira linens
incorporate exquisite detailing using linen and organdy. Making heirloom linens
come into "modern" times requires a little "twist".
We are going to combine a gorgeous textured weave ivory linen with exquisite
quality black linen and add a "twist" of black Swiss organdy to create a
beautiful and elegant table runner. Techniques that will be incorporated
include: "Pinless Laceshaping" using ivory French lace; Madeira
Appliqué on each
end of the table runner; and, Machine Embroidery in ivory on the black Swiss
cotton organdy.
