Crazy Little Patchwork Jacket   
Get a start on your spring wardrobe or make a jacket
for those cool breezy evenings at the beach! Buy 1/3 yards of 15 beautiful
fabrics, a sweatshirt one size too large (must have set-in sleeves), ¾ yd
fabric for bias binding (or 3 yards of binding braid) and come make a
one-of-a-kind sweatshirt jacket just for you!!

Supplies: Crazy Little Sweatshirt Jacket Pattern - we will
be making style B
Pre-washed Sweatshirt with set-in sleeves - check pattern for specifics or
plan on one size larger
1/3 yd of 15 contrasting fabrics - please precut before class to provide:
7 squares 11" X 11" each
52 squares 9" X 9" each
(If you are taller/larger, you may prefer to cut your fabrics as follows:
7 squares 12" X 12"
52 squares 10" X 10" )
then divide the 52 squares into 6 decks - 2 with 8 fabrics and 4 with 9
fabrics - no
repeats in any deck and alternate dark, medium and light values
¾ yd fabric for bias binding or about 3.5 yds of special braid as shop jacket
7 pieces of paper at least 9" X 9" square to make templates (at least 10"
squares if making larger squares as mentioned above)
permanent pen
rotary cutter, preferably 60 mm
ruler - at least 12" long
Thread to blend with fabric for making blocks
Sewing Machine
Seam Ripper and/ or small sharp scissors
safety pins
Usual sewing supplies - extra bobbins, needles, scissors, pins etc
